Sleigh Bells front man Derek Miller has told Tom & Alex they're new record is going to bring to them Australia... twice.

Miller phoned into triple j this week to chat about their new album, Reign of Terror, and said he's already booked in tour plans.

"We absolutely are [touring]. We're coming over there twice at least on this record. So you guys will be seeing us; we're coming."

Despite nursing a broken rib after a stage diving incident at a recent Diplo show, Derrick was in good spirits. But he said the lead up to the band's second album was "extremely difficult."

"A lot of life happened to me in a short period of time. We lost my dad in the summer of 2009 and that was not pretty or natural. Then when my Mum got ill I really wanted to go home but she wouldn't let me come back. She said that I'd found something I loved and people are responding to it so just throw yourself into it.

So that's what I did.

This band become my life. It is my life. It's the love of my life.

Reign of Terror was my attempt to deal with all of it. I don't go to therapy or talk about my feelings or emotions or whatever so the record is my sole outlet for that type of thing."

Reign of Terror, Sleigh Bells' follow up to their 2010 debut Treats, is our feature album all this week. Tell us what you think about it over here.
